Guess what PKD are developing just now? 2 new kites which should create a dramatic impact on their respective sectors of the buggy market.
The race scene has been somewhat stagnent of late, even with a large increase in numbers participating the developments in the recent years have been somewhat insiginificant. Early information the the new Ozone race kite is that its improvements hardly worth noting over current generation kites. However the PKD Combat from all those who have flown one and have buggied with one or even observed them in action, everyone is taken aback by the increase in performance of them.
I had the pleasure of flying one of the 7.5m Prototypes in light winds at the first round of the PKA series and it was amazingly stable and responsive, even as a race kite goes. The main reason why people are surprised when they are following a PKD Combat pilot in a buggy is that they are able to cut a much tighter line into the wind, against experienced buggiers, with current race kites. At the moment there are a few sets of prototypes in the country at the moment, with 4 kites between 4.5m and 7.5m, other sizes are expected soon.

The other kite which is being developed is the Brooza which is still in the earlier prototype stage. Set to replace the Joy as PKD's intermediate kite it is set to come in 2m, 3m, 4m and 5.5m sizes. Although the colours, prices and availibility are still not confirmed their current design is just as striking and attractive as you'd expect from the company which came up with the 'Soulfly' graphic.

More information will be available when we get a hold of it so check back soon!
