Introduction: The Drachenstore Performer is being built under license from Rhombus by a couple of place in Europe. Essentially, the buggy is modelled on the Rhombus Firebug and would be classed as a Race buggy built for speed.
Adjustability:

Main adjustability is on the downtube and front wheel, foot peg configuration. Down tube attachment is similar to Libre with four bolts attaching the down tube to side frames. The difference being that the section of down tube that attaches to the side frames is horizontal to the ground. Good length adjustment to this buggy. There are also 3 adjustment holes for the front wheel and 3 for the foot pegs, though at 6'7" I have used one of the wheel adjustment holes to bolt the footpegs through. No camber adjustment etc offered.

Comfort:

Can't criticise this buggy for comfort. The seat is similar to Libre/Cameleon offerings but isn't as snug as the Cameleon. However, still plenty of back support and good bracing against the side frames. Have used it for several hours now in complete comfort.

Construction: The buggy is galvanised steel with powder coating. The coating isn't great. I'ts a bit thin and flakes easily. However, this is the only issue with it and is easily rectified. The rest of the buggy is solid. Excellent welding and the finishing is very good. No welding to file down aka Cameleon and very solid attachment points. Your going to have to hit something extremely solid to damage this buggy.
Freestyling:

This is NOT a freestyle buggy. It weighs in at 40kg with wheels on, has a 1400mmm rear axle and is not for 2 wheeling or jumping. However, powerslides are great. You can throw it sideways and it feels solid and sturdy. No nasty twitches that you don't want. I did try to get this buggy up onto two wheels in a 25mph wind but just couldn't.

Speed and Cruising:

This buggy cruises. I've topped out at 49.3mph so far and it just felt so smooth. The 1400mm rear axle and big foot lights supplied with the bug just eat up the power. The back end feels solid and you sit nicely centred in the overall length of the buggy. Foot peg adjustment allows you to get a good bracing position to build speed quickly and generally this buggy installs confidence at speed.

Final Comments:

If you are looking for a race buggy on a budget then this is it. Even with importing and having the big foot lights grooved it was still only £439. Considerably less than most race buggys especially when you are getting  big foot lights as standard. Only time will tell how the construction of the buggy lasts and spares are only available via the european stores selling them but service was excellent and hopefully if I ever do damage it they should be available fairly quickly. I'm very surprised Rhombus aren't selling this themselves. A great entry/immediate race buggy.
