| Introduction: |
The lack of instructions in the box means the buggy takes a little longer to assemble than maybe it should, but everything is fairly straightforward. Some pictures would be nice to use as a guide to construction. But once the buggy is put together, it looks very nice. |
| Adjustability: |
Usual adjustments, seat has a high and low setting. Downtube is very long and should suit all size pilots. Also has adjustment on the height of the fork position. |
| Comfort: |
VERY comfy. Has the feel of a race buggy, but lightness and size of a freestyle buggy. Seat position can feel a little low for freestyle. (Landings can sometimes be a little painful!!) But otherwise, very comfortable. |
| Construction: |
Construction is very impressive, materials used are of the highest standard. Nice black finish. Because the buggy is mainly aluminium the buggy has a degree of flexibility that is especially useful in freestyle. Wheel bolts are incredibly strong. Seat could be made from stronger materials. |
| Freestyling: |
This is the area where I use the Typhoon most. The lightness of the buggy is a real plus for aerial tricks. You can throw it around easily and even the heaviest landings do not worry the frame or wheel bolts. The seat position can mean that occasionally you can 'ground out' on some landings. The Typhoon is a genuine alternative to the Flexifoil buggy. |
| Speed and Cruising: |
The Typhoon manages to stay in a straight line under power very nicely. Available extras include wide axle, camber kit and suspension units. I have used these extras and can safely say that they make the Typhoon a real contender in the race market. |
| Final Comments: |
This buggy has many plus points and only a few minus ones. The quality of the seat is not the greatest but Parastorm are addressing this problem and it will be rectified for any future projects. Overall I am impressed with the general feel and ride of the Typhoon. There have also been some concerns about the delay in the extras being available to buy. The extras will available in the next couple of months and will be worth the wait. |
