Introduction: Well I thought I would do a review for this buggy as it seems to get overlooked,
and with the price you can pick these up second-hand makes this buggy a great starting buggy.
Adjustability: The PL Comp doesn't have a lot of adjustments as standard, just the length of the downtube, although you can get a lot of aftermarket bits to change it to suit your own requirements.
With only one bolt to undo this buggy is very easy to take apart and is great for people with small boots, or little space in there cars.
Comfort:
In its standard format the PL comp is quite comfortable but doesn't give a lot of back support, mine is now sporting an XR seat and a backrest made by trickbitz, which has transformed the way the buggy feels and made it a lot better for prolonged runs, it has also stiffened up the rear end making tricks a lot easier.
Construction: Construction is basic and not as strong as the flexifoil or libre's but then it doesn't hold the same price either, saying that i have put mine through its paces and the only thing that has gone was the bolt that fixes the downtube to the side rails and this is easily removed by cutting through two small welds and then replacing the bolt, I do not think the buggy would hold up to much in the way of jumping but if you just want to cruise and do ground based tricks it is ideal.
Freestyling:
Freestyling is great in this buggy 180,360 forwards and backwards are quite easy to pull off, still trying to perfect 2 wheeling but my mates have done this easily in my buggy.
Speed and Cruising:
As for speed it has been fine for me i have had it up to 32 Mph but it then seems to start breaking out at the rear end, it does this in a way that is quite easy to control and leads to some quite spectacular spins and slides i think if you want to go faster the wide axle you can get for it would soon solve this problem, although this may slow the steering down therefore making the buggy less flickable.
Final Comments:
All in all this is a great little buggy to start out with, parts are cheap and easy to get hold of and make it very easy to modify it to suit your needs, with a little care it will last you a long time.
